About Joel
Joel is a good-humoured and responsive Clinical Psychologist who cares deeply about the work he does. He has a lively and collaborative therapeutic style, and his clinical work is guided by values of compassion, thoughtfulness, curiosity, and authenticity.
Joel sees the world through a multicultural lens and works hard to create a safe space in therapy where people feel heard and accepted. He has experience working in public and private mental health settings with individuals who have severe and enduring mental illness.
Joel is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), is a full member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA), and currently holds a Senior Clinical Psychologist position at Epworth HealthCare.

Fees & rebates
The fee is below the recommended standard fee of $311 by the professional peak body, Australian Psychological Society (APS):
$240 for a 50 minute appointment.
Under Medicare and alongside a valid GP referral, you are entitled to a rebate of $141.85 for up to 10 sessions per year.
The out-of-pocket cost per session is $98.15
Appointments from 5pm weekdays, weekends, and public holidays will incur a $15 surcharge.
Cancellation policy
Cancellation or reschedule within 24-48 hours of your appointment time will incur 50% of the appointment fee.
Cancellation or reschedule within 24 hours of your appointment time will incur the full appointment fee.
Failure to attend an appointment will incur the full appointment fee.
Cancellation fees are not covered by Medicare.
